WHAT OTHER RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE TO PROGRAMS?

COA's After School recognition is facilitative in nature. Our goal is to work with you to understand and improve your program capacity. To accomplish this goal, COA has developed several technical assistance resources to help programs successfully navigate the COA After School recognition process and continue to learn the details of the COA standards.

These technical assistance and training opportunities include:

  • Customized Training or Technical Assistance—on-site customized training designed to meet the unique and special needs of your program. Contact COA's Training Department for more information—additional fees may apply.
  • Webinars—you or your staff can sign up on COA's website to attend web-based teleconference trainings conducted by COA staff and field experts. Most webinars are offered at no cost or at an affordable rate. Webinar trainings can be located and registered for at: https://coanet.ilinc.com/perl/ilinc/lms/event.pl?div_view=reg&event_user_id=
  • Self-Paced Training—COA offers pre-recorded trainings viewed over the Internet that can be accessed multiple times at any time. Topics are determined by customer requests and identified needs.
  • Technical Assistance through the COA After School Coordinator—the COA After School Coordinator provides on-going technical assistance to programs throughout the process and can direct you to resources and tools that can help you better understand the standards and assemble your documents.
  • Face-to-Face Training—these one- or two-day workshops are provided across North America. They focus on the COA standards and process, and performance and quality improvement.

For more information on these technical assistance and training resources, contact your COA After School Coordinator or refer to the COA website, www.coanet.org.
