WHAT HAPPENS AFTER OUR DESK REVIEW?

Volunteer Endorsers, coordinated by the COA After School Coordinator, will review all documents submitted in the Self Study document. The Desk Review process will include a review of the survey and observation responses relative to the action plan and goals as well as a review of each document submitted to ensure that it is up-to-date, accurate and demonstrates implementation of related standards.

Your COA Coordinator will communicate in writing the findings from the Desk Review, including any necessary adjustments/revisions to the Self-Study, and steps on how to proceed after adjustments/revisions have been made. The revisions/supplemental documentation should be submitted no later than 60 days after being contacted by your After School Coordinator.

Upon receipt of additional materials from the program, qualitative items will be reviewed by a Volunteer Endorser, and quantitative items will be reviewed by your After School Coordinator prior to presentation to the COA After School Commission.

Final determinations regarding Certification will be made by the After School Commission.
