WHAT IS THE ROLE OF COA COORDINATOR?

The Certification process begins with your assignment to an After School Coordinator who will be your partner throughout the certification process. COA begins establishing your program's context before your first meeting with your COA After School Coordinator. The information requested on the application helps prepare the After School Coordinator to be of most assistance to you.

Your After School Coordinator is your primary contact at COA for anything you need. He or she is your facilitator, interpreter, problem-solver and coach throughout the process and helps you:

• determine your starting point;
• access COA provided trainings;
• develop a needs-based, realistic timetable;
• interpret COA After School standards;
• answer questions about the certification process; and
• facilitate communication and access to resources at COA.
